Nandi County Police Commissioner Thomas Ngeiywo is the latest victim of the Sang-Kosgey tea estate/cattle dip drama. Ngeiywo was transferred for his inaction over the matter. For just watching the incident and doing nothing, the County Police Commissioner was recalled to Vigilance House in Nairobi and replaced by one Samuel Ole Kine, who will be taking over as Nandi County Police Commissioner.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang had invaded a tea estate connected to former Tinderet MP Henry Kosgey, saying that the land was grabbed from the people of Nandi and that it was meant to be a cattle dip. Sang vowed to set up a cattle dip in the land.
Following the invasion, Governor Sand was condemned by the Senator Nandi and arrested by the police. He is now facing charges at the Kisumu courts.
