Counties Begin Dialogue Forums on Zero Interest Business Loans

Phase one of dialogue forums towards the passing of the County Enterprise Fund Bill has begun in Uasin Gishu, Nairobi, Machakos, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kiambu, Vihiga, and Kisumu.

In particular, Nakuru County has vowed to fast track the passing of the bill which will release 27 billion shillings to fund small and  medium enterprises within the county.

The Bill came about as a result of lobbying by the Nakuru Business Coalition, which lobbied for funding for businesses as a response to the difficulty of local businesses accessing funding from banks and SMEs.

Once the bill is passed, the county will begin issuing the fund.
