Disarm Civilian ‘Terrorists’ in Kerio Valley: Kalenjin Elders say

150 Kalenjin elders from Elgeyo Marakwet County, Baringo, and West Pokot are raising the alarm over the number of firearms in the hands of civilians.

The elders want the government to identify all firearms owned by civilians.

The elders felt that people in Kerio Valley were enduring ‘terrorism’ at the hands of armed criminals.

The elders were speaking at a follow up to the Cheptebo declaration of a few weeks ago, when the communities agreed to live in peace.
