Eliud Kipchoge reacts to news that the London Marathon has been postponed

Eliud Kipchoge’s hopes of winning the London Marathon in 2020 were dashed to pieces when the event was postponed. The London Marathon will not take place as planned because of health concerns

Kipchoge described the news as ‘unfortunate’ and ceded that safeguarding the health of the world always takes priority.

The elite runner won the same race in 2019 in a spectacular show of stamina and endurance.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page, KIpchoge expressed hope of running the race again soon. He asked fellow athletes to be proud of the work they have put into the journey and to keep smiling and seeking their next goal.
