In 2009, a young teacher from Moiben in Uasin Gishu boarded a plan for the first time. Sosthen Bellat was flying to Turkey where he had been selected to attend an ICT workshop. The experience was so good that he vowed to pay for his mother and father to fly too. Bellat was a BSc student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi, Kenya.
When he returned home, Bellat mobilized 50 youths from his home who were studying in various universities and colleges to do the same. His dream came true in December 2018, when the youths had raised enough money to fly their fathers on a trip to Nairobi.
On June 12th 2019, the group finally put their mothers on a plan to Nairobi. The women sang Kalenjin songs on the plane to celebrate their good fortune. When they arrived in Nairobi, the women had the opportunity to visit Kasarani Stadium and the Nairobi National Park. The fathers had visited the Nairobi National Park and Kass Media Studios.
