Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has shut down 20 training camps in Nandi, calling them a ‘major threat’ in the battle to control the spread of the coronavirus.

Hundreds of athletes were sent home after the Governor expressed concern over the foreign agents, managers, and athletes flying in and out of the country.

Sang said that his orders were advised by directives from the Ministry of Health and Office of the President.

Sang will be relying on the County Administration to enforce the order. These were agreed on as part of measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
