The simmering divisions in the ruling Jubilee Party took a new twist on Wednesday after Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi a close all\ny of Deputy President William Ruto asked President Kenyatta and t\nhe DP to resign from their positions saying they were unable to lead.
Mr Sudi, vocal Jubilee lawmaker asked the duo to hand over the presidency to him for three months.
He has called on President Kenyatta to resign terming his administration the most incompetent since independence alleging that it had run down the national economy.
“With the current direction that the country is taking, it is clear that the President and his DP have failed Kenyans and my request to the two is that they should hand me the presidency so that I show them the way,” said Mr Sudi.
He was addressing the press on Wednesday evening at his Kapseret home.
“Reflecting the current arrests of top government officers, it is beyond no reasonable cloud of doubt that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Presidency are incompetent,” he added.
He at the same time defended Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his principal secretary Kamau Thugge who are facing corruption charges over the Kimwarer and Arror dams scandal saying that they were being used as sacrificial lambs as cover to the real culprits.
“Rotich just like his PS havs been misused and dumped by the dynasties that be,” said Sudi.
He indicated that dynasties in the country have no mercy for anyone and so they must fall.
“Kibaki’s government was the best. This one is the worst. This is an incompetent government,” said Sudi.
