Patients at District Hospital Deserted by Scared Medics

Medical staff at the Uasin Gishu District Hospital kept off for several hours after the facility ran out of sanitizers.

The health workers argued that the District Hospital was ill-prepared for the coronavirus pandemic.

The local administration had not yet given them protective gear, and the health workers said they were ‘worried.’

Consultation rooms were shut as patients queued.

The workers were also demanding to be furnished with protective gear like their counterparts at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
