West Pokot County Officials Accused of Inflating the Price of Maize

Senior West Pokot County officials were arrested in Eldoret this week by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. The EACC detectives arrested them for purchasing maize 20,000 bags of maize without following regulations.
Among them was the County Secretary for West Pokot Michael Parklea. Parklea was arrested together with Alice Jepkosgei, Elvis Wanga, and Titus Mayech who are the Procurement Officer, ICT Officer, and County Voucher Inspector respectively.
They were transported from Kapenguria to Eldoret,Kenya for questioning.
